Fotor's AI Image Generator turns your ideas into images. Simply enter a text description, also known as a text prompt, and AI will generate images based on your description. No design experience is required.
You can use it to create social media visuals, product images, illustrations, wallpapers, and more.
Note: You need to sign in to your Fotor account to generate images. Some models or settings may require credits or a subscription.
Step 1. Open Fotor AI Image Generator
- Visit Fotor AI Image Generator.
- Find the prompt input box on the creation page.
Step 2. Enter Your Text Prompt
Click the prompt box and describe the image you want to create. Use clear, specific language to help AI understand your idea. You can write your prompt in English or another supported language.
For better results, try including these details:
- Subject: Who or what should appear in the image?
- Scene: Where is the subject, or what is it doing?
- Style: Do you want a realistic photo, illustration, or another style?
- Composition: Should it be a close-up, full-body shot, or wide landscape?

Tip: If you need help improving your prompt, click the Prompt Enhancer icon. Fotor will automatically optimize and enrich your description. You can review the enhanced prompt and click Use it to apply it.
Step 3. Select an AI Model
If a model selector is available, choose an AI model that best matches your needs.
Different models may produce different styles and results. You can check their descriptions or previews to find the one that suits your idea.
Note: Available models may vary depending on your region, account, or current Fotor offerings.
Step 4. Customize Your Image Settings
Before generating, adjust the available settings as needed:
- Aspect Ratio: Choose a suitable image ratio, such as 1:1 for square images, 16:9 for landscape images, or 9:16 for vertical images.
- Style: Select a style preset if available, or describe your preferred style in the prompt.
- Number of Images: Choose how many image variations you want to generate, if this option is available.
Note: Available settings may vary depending on the selected AI model.
Step 5. Generate and Download Your Image
- Review your prompt and selected settings.
- Check the credit information displayed on the page.
- Click Generate and wait for your images to appear.
Preview the results and click Download to save your favorite image to your device. The downloaded image will be saved in your browser's default download folder.
If the result isn't what you expected, try adding more details to your prompt or adjusting your settings, then generate again.

- Be specific: Describe the subject, background, colors, and lighting instead of using vague words.
- Mention the visual style: Specify whether you want a realistic photo, watercolor painting, or 3D illustration.
