If you can't open Fotor, the page stays on a loading screen, or the app is stuck on the splash screen, try the troubleshooting steps below for your platform.
Quick checklist
- Confirm your network connection is working—try switching between Wi-Fi and mobile data.
- Web: Refresh the page, update your browser, clear cache, or open Fotor in a private/incognito window.
- App: Force-quit and restart, check for updates, verify network permissions; reinstall if needed.
- Still stuck? Wait a few minutes and try again, or contact support@fotor.com with your platform, device, and issue details.
1. Check your network connection
Make sure your internet connection is stable. Try switching between Wi-Fi and mobile data, then open Fotor again.
2. Fotor web won't open or keeps loading
If you're accessing Fotor through a browser and run into issues, try these steps in order:
Refresh the page and reopen Fotor
- Refresh the current page (Windows/Linux: Ctrl + R; Mac: ⌘ + R).
- If the problem persists, close the tab and visit fotor.com again.
Update your browser
We recommend using the latest version of Google Chrome. You can also try another up-to-date browser to see if the issue persists.
Clear your browser cache
- Open your browser's clear browsing data / clear cache option.
- Clear cached images and files, then reopen Fotor.
- If that doesn't help, also clear Cookies and site data for Fotor (you'll need to sign in again).
Check browser extensions
Ad blockers, script blockers, and privacy extensions can interfere with page loading. You can:
- Open Fotor in a private / incognito window and see if it loads normally;
- Temporarily disable related extensions and refresh the page;
- Add
fotor.comto your extension's allowlist, if available.
3. Fotor app won't open or is stuck on the splash screen
If you're using the iOS or Android app, try the following:
Force-quit and restart the app
Fully close the Fotor app from the background (don't just minimize it), wait a few seconds, then reopen it.
- iOS: Swipe up from the bottom of the screen (or double-press the Home button), then swipe the Fotor card away.
- Android: Open Recent Apps and swipe Fotor off the list.
Check for app updates
Go to the App Store or Google Play and install any available update for Fotor. Keeping the app updated can help resolve issues caused by outdated versions.
Reinstall the app
If the steps above don't work, try uninstalling and reinstalling Fotor.
Check network permissions
In your phone's system settings, confirm that Fotor is allowed to use Wi-Fi and mobile data. On some devices, "Wi-Fi only" or restricted background data settings can prevent the app from connecting to our servers.
